REPAIR AND RESTORATION OF VINTAGE POCKET WATCHES AND WRISTWATCHES
THE BEST OF OLD SCHOOL WATCHMAKING WITH MODERN ULTRASONICS, CLEANING FLUIDS AND LUBRICANTS.
Watches are unique collectibles and vintage watches harken back to a time long past. Many of the watches of yesteryear, which were hand assembled and exhibit fine workmanship, can still be used as reliable timepieces today. The early American factory made watches, even though using the productions methods of the day, entailed many hand operations on a scale that would never be found in today's world.
American watch makers such as Waltham, Elgin, Hamilton, Illinois, Rockford, Hampden made quality jewelled watches with pride. The high grade and Railroad grade watches often have highly decorated nickel plates, gold train wheels, raised gold jewel settings, highly polished steel work, and ruby and sapphire jewels. In today's world of mass production, watches made with such craftsmanship are rarely affordable.
YOUR VINTAGE WATCH CAN BE RESTORED AND USED AS A RELIABLE TIMEPIECE
A fine running mechanical watch is much more than the sum of it's parts. A precision piece of miniature machinery ticking away just seems to satisfy the mind and soul, and it's that unique combination of beauty, functionality, craftsmanship and history that make a vintage timepiece so special.

WHO IS VINTAGE WATCH WORKS?
My name is David Magner and I have been servicing and working on watches since attending watchmaking school 15 years ago at the NAWCC School of Horology in Columbia, PA. My 30 years background experience as a Tool and Die Maker making small precision tooling was extremely beneficial in a transition to working on watches and making hard to obtain or obsolete parts. My initial interest was in pocket watches, but it wasn't long before I gained a real appreciation and enjoyment working on vintage wristwatches also. My shop is well equipped and I have an old habit of doing it right the first time.
The National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors is an organization dedicated to the education about and the preservation of timepieces. Founded in 1943 to advance the art and science of horology, today's membership is at about 14,000. I fully subscribe to the organization's code of ethics and approach my work with these principles in mind.
